Diyabetik retinopati ve glokomun erken teşhisi ve etkili bir şekilde izlenmesi, görme kaybını önlemek ve hasta sonuçlarını iyileştirmek için kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu hastalıklar, erken teşhis edildiklerinde etkili bir şekilde yönetilebilir ve böylece sağlık sistemleri üzerindeki yük azaltılarak hastaların yaşam kalitesi artırılabilir. Bu çalışma, sağlık profesyonellerine bu durumları daha verimli bir şekilde teşhis etmelerinde yardımcı olmak için tasarlanmış kullanıcı dostu bir yazılım arayüzünün geliştirilmesini sunmaktadır. Bu arayüz, özel olarak geliştirilmiş 11 katmanlı bir Konvolüsyonel Sinir Ağı (CNN) mimarisine dayanmaktadır. Mimari, bir yeniden ölçeklendirme katmanıyla başlayıp veri artırma tekniklerini içermektedir. Temel mimari, sırasıyla 16, 32 ve 64 filtre içeren üç konvolüsyonel katman ve bu katmanların ardından gelen maksimum havuzlama katmanlarından oluşmaktadır. Aşırı öğrenmeyi önlemek için %70 oranında bırakma (dropout) içeren bir katman eklenmiştir. Ağ ayrıca bir düzleştirme katmanı, 128 nöronlu bir yoğun katman ve sınıf sayısına göre özelleştirilmiş bir çıktı katmanı içermektedir. Glokom tespiti için, optik diske odaklanan özel bir ön işleme adımı, doğrulama kaybını yaklaşık %20 oranında azaltmıştır. Ek olarak, karmaşık glokom vakalarında tanısal doğruluğu artırmak amacıyla manuel yakınlaştırma (zoom) özelliği geliştirilmiştir. Diyabetik retinopati için algoritmalar, ödem ve kanama gibi patolojik bölgeleri belirlemek ve vurgulamak için titizlikle tasarlanmıştır. Bu yaklaşım, vasküler yapıların hassas bir şekilde görselleştirilmesini sağlar ve modelin doğru ve zamanında teşhisler sunma yeteneğini önemli ölçüde artırır. Çalışma sonucunda ortaya çıkan mimari, diyabetik retinopati tespiti için %98, glokom tespiti için ise %85 doğruluk oranı göstermiştir. Bu çalışma, ileri derin öğrenme tekniklerini pratik araçlarla birleştirmenin, tanı süreçlerini iyileştirme ve hasta sonuçlarını geliştirme konusundaki potansiyelini vurgulamaktadır. Sağlık profesyonellerine güvenilir bir sistem sunarak tanısal doğruluğu artırma yönünde önemli bir katkı sağlamaktadır.
