Çevre kirliliği sorununun oluşum ve gelişim sürecinde, devletlerin oluşturduğu politikalar, önem arz etmektedir. Böyle bir sorunun çözümüne yönelik önerilen çevre politikası araçlarından biri, karbon vergisidir. Karbon vergisi, çevreye zararlı sera gazı emisyonlarının azaltılmasında devletlerin kullanabilecekleri önemli bir mali araçtır. Karbon vergisi kavramı, 1980'lerin sonunda ortaya çıkmış ve akademik çevrelerde ilgi görmüştür. Yıllar geçtikçe akademik yazında bu konuya duyulan ilgi artmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, 1991-2023 yılları arasında karbon vergisi üzerine yazılan makalelerin bibliyometrik analizini ortaya koymaktır. Belirtilen amaç doğrultusunda, Web of Science (WOS) veri tabanından elde edilen veriler, bibliyometrik analize tabi tutulmuştur. Bibliyometrik analizin gerçekleştirilmesinde, performans analizi ve haritalama analizi yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada bulgulara ulaşmak için; atıf analizi, ortak yazar analizi, anahtar kelime analizi ve dergilerin bibliyografik eşleştirme analizi kullanılmıştır.
